Christian vs. Catholic are the two one and the same?
Most people would say they are. The mass media would say they are. The Catholics would say that they are.
BUT the more I study history... the more I study theology, and the more I learn about being a true disciple of the Living God. The more I tend to disagree with them all.
This nice thing about Catholics is that they are more like Christians than your average heathen.
The trouble with those who reject Catholics is that you can never be sure if they are doing so for the right reasons. Is it the heathen part, or the Christian part that they don't like? How can we tell?
If they are offended by his remark that "A child with out a father is a child with only a mother, and not a very good one." then he should not have retracked it! He should have rammed it down their throats! It is right on the mark. But instead of defending it, the guy comlains that he was taken out of context. (See the link to know who I'm talking about)
For all you psychopathic grit eating skirvy dogs and those that think they are not: Kurt (from previous comment) is the mastermind and inspiration behind the title of this blog entry "freakin' Godless euroweenies".
And I very much appreciate the "definite article" usage... chalk one up for the Gospel. :) Miker
